Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge (New Mexico) is one of the most tranquil spots on earth. Awaiting me each time I go there is an array of wild life, and there’s always something different. Peacefulness permeates my spirit as I slowly move through the preserve. The colors of reeds and grasses are pastel and the sunsets usually shine soft pink on the water filled with snow geese and sandhill cranes. The sandhill cranes, pictured here, are exemplary of the delights that treat the eyes and lift the spirit. The warmth carried home with me is priceless.
