Synopsis

Morgan must risk her own life to save her family, but will she ultimately be betrayed?

From ancient Christian sites in Spain, Italy and Israel to the far reaches of Iran and Tunisia, Morgan and Jake must track down the stones through the myths of the early church in a race against time before a new Pentecost is summoned, this time powered by the fires of evil.

The first in the ARKANE series, PENTECOST is a fast-paced thriller that explores the edges of faith against a backdrop of early Christian history, archaeology and psychology.

My Review

I LOVED this book. The story was a cross between Supernatural, Tomb Raider and DaVinci Code. Our heroine was brave, assertive and fun. Expect to go globe trekking with the two leads as they pursue ancient stones as time runs out.

Lives are at stake, heck the world is at stake if those stones fall into the hands of the baddies… and there are tons of baddies. I loved how JF tied in recent events like climate change into this novel making me question if any of this is real. I will definitely read the other books in the series. If you love action/adventure and mystery coupled with a kick-ass female lead then you will enjoy this book.

JF Penn has proven that not only is she a fantastic non-fiction author she also plans to dominate the fiction world. I can’t believe that I read this book in only 3 days! It pulled me through the pages and and had me dying to find out what’s next.
