Get 400,000 children back to school in Lebanon
Over the past months, tens of thousands of people have signed the A World at School petition – and pledged more than $1million – in support of our plan to get 400,000 Syrian refugee children back to school.
Thanks to this support, major international donors will meet to discuss pledging the money to get the plan up and running on January 15.
We now need to tell them – and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, who are hosting the meeting – to make sure that education is given the priority needed and hundreds of thousands of children are not left without an education any longer.
It can be done. Your support has put the issue on the table and pressure is growing for immediate action.
We need YOU to remind world leaders why they have to do something NOW.
We cannot let up. More than 5,000 young people are fleeing the conflict each week into Lebanon alone. Without education they face becoming a lost generation.
Thanks for your support to put Syrian children back in school in just a matter of weeks.
